| Scenemakers accepted a unique challenge, to create a stage design that was progressive and changeable in feel over the course of a three day conference for Remedy Corporation of San Jose, Ca. The event was hosted at the Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The design challenge was to come up with a stage which incorporated four each, 15’ x 21’ rear projection screens, and scenic elements which could be rear lighted, basically rendering the entire 120 ft. wide stage, totally translucent. Tall, metal frame window frame panels with a translucent backing. Over the course of the three days of conference events, elegant, layered lighting effects, which morphed and changed patterns and colors. Rear screen projection screens became an actual part of the set. At various times during the conference, lighting effects and AV effects were also used on the screens. Also used in the set were an acrylic and brushed steel podium, a large 6’ dia. Orb and 4 tall brushed steel floor vases, with brightly colored tropical florals. The orb was used as a projection surface behind the speaker, to give slowly changing lighting effects and depth to the video imaging. The stage was easily transformed for nighttime party events, by changing visual images and lighting effects. SceneMakers was congratulated by the client for the ‘exceptional creativity’ and functionality demonstrated with this stage design. It definitely gave the corporation a highly polished look, which supported the message of their conference theme. |
