I love the look of hydrangea clustered together in glass containers. It reminds me of a bunch of little butterfly wings. In blue, purple and green it instills a calm feeling.
The blue and neutral colors from the above wedding, which we did at the Sundance resort, felt easy and natural. Blue creates an atmosphere of engaging communication and relaxation. The brown, white, and tan colors gave an earthy, grounded feeling. With the glow of the lanterns, a festive element was cast. In combination, I would imagine conversation was open and fluid at this lovely event.
With the holidays winding down, a lot of us are feeling the need for more peaceful influences. I love the color blue to inspire this calming desire. On the other hand, with the New Year on the horizon, there is a sense of new dreams and goals in the air. What better color to add sparkle and energy than gold. The two colors, blue and gold, used together, Â bring out a wonderfully dreamy and exotic backdrop.

Do you ever get tired of the same old holiday colors? This year I could not warm myself to the usual red and green decor and went in search of a palate that was fresh, but still carried the holiday spirit. Blues and greens, done right, can create a very deep and calming statement for decor. Above is a nice mixture of these colors used in holiday themed settings. LOVE IT!
