Monday à la Mode {Great Stationary}

There are so many creative graphic designers out there changing the face of wedding stationary. I feel like every time I get online or open a new wedding magazine, I’m bombarded with inspiring and unique stationary choices. I thought I’d take the rest of my ‘à la Mode’ posts in February, to highlight some of my favorite wedding stationary artists.

This week I’ve chosen a letterpress shop out of Charleston, South Carolina – Sideshow Press. The company is comprised of three ladies, using an authentic 1926 pony-sized letterpress. I saw one of their custom invitations in the new Martha Stewart Weddings mag, and had to check them out. They have created a beautiful assortment of template ‘Spring 2012 Wedding Stationary’ sets (see images above). Of course they will also do custom, or check out their other genres of paper goods on their online shop.

Wednesday Whimsy {Stationary}

As soon as I saw these invitations from One Handspun Day, I knew they were going to make their way into a Wednesday Whimsy post. Beside the artistry being wonderfully creative, there is another standout niche this company offers. All of their stationary is sent to you in a ready to print form – so you can chose your own local printer or print yourself to save money. All of their menus, name tags, favor cards, and programs are sent in a template format with the font set in it so you can fill those in how you like and make last minute changes. Once again these are a print yourself or through your local printer.

I think this is a fabulous concept for those of us that like a little more hands-on approach.
